Leviton Light Switch Stuck On

Thought it was a switch issue but seems to be a 2 4ghz vs 5ghz band issue.

Leviton light switch stuck on. Factory reset the decora smart wi fi device by pressing and holding the top paddle for 15 seconds until the led starts to flash red and amber then release the paddle. Well i keep running in to the same problem. This can be caused by different events. When i take the fixture off and unscrew the current switch they all have the wires stuck in the small holes none of them are using the screws.

Usually electricians wire the hot wire on the bottom to a switch or outlet. If it is a dimmer dw6hd or dw1kd simply lift the bottom of the dim bright bar until either the light or led at the bottom of the dimmer turns off. A third problem that might be blamed on the light switch can actually caused by the light fixture itself.

I would normally just dismiss this as a defective product and continue life as usual but for the pattern of defective leviton products we ve had before including several defective leviton light fixtures and defective dimmers. In these instances you need to power cycle the device. Leviton smart switch not connecting to wifi.
